HOPE

Life can bring so much pain and heartache. I know my heart has broken in times of distress as the storms came, but as I look back as a child of God; it is only to claim the clarity given once He prepared my heart to see how the mighty hand of God in ALL His power cared for me and provided a daily outpouring of grace and mercy that molded me into the daughter that stands in that same powerful grace today.

He is the HOPE that breaths life into my very soul. I literally can’t wake up tomorrow without His GRACE. Praise God His only requisition of me is a mustard seed of faith. I can muster that at any given time for He is a faithful God, but I am a weak human and I still struggle at times.

Have you ever heard of the art of Kintsugi? This is a customary technique the Japanese use to repair broken pottery with gold. They believe that the piece is even more beautiful for having been broken.

This made me think of our brokeness and how God in his own loving way fills our life with His beautiful golden thread, molding us and filling every aspect of our lives with His goodness. Helping us to become the children He purposed us to be.

I will proudly carry the scars of battle for they are a story my God will tell. That is the least I can do for the very God who gave His son for me. I want you to let that resonate with you. Had you been the only person who needed the very HOPE of eternity through that sacrifice HE would have still breathed His last on Calvary JUST FOR YOU! Jesus bears scars like no other. To bring us a hope like no other.

I often challenged my teens to remember when they became weary that Jesus gave all. The least we can do is remain faithful in our walk and give 110% for Him. He doesn’t require any more from us than He would give of himself. He understands every struggle we face, he walked our very path in the flesh himself.

So as the moments pass in the storms we are facing today, may we take advantage of every opportunity God provides to share His love and hope with those in need. We possess the worlds greatest gift ever given.

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meakness and fear:” I Peter 3:15 KJV.

Keep looking up my friends for that is where our hope lies. Thank you Father for your grace and faithfulness. Thank you for carrying me through the waters and lifting me above the storms of life that I might see your glory.
