Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Matthew 1:23 KJV
As we approach the coming holiday celebration of our dear Saviours birth, what does this holiday bring for you? Many cannot help but be reminded of those that are no longer here to celebrate and then there are those that wish they could be closer to the ones they love. Maybe this year is one you just soon forget with all the pain and difficulty it brought your way. Whatever the case, may we find ourselves focused on the miraculous birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus. May we draw closer to Him and remind ourselves of the hope that lives in each of us.
Emmanuel (God with us), all day each and every day. So gracious and merciful, pouring all that is His to give into our hearts and lives. He will never leave us nor forsake us regardless of the condition of our hearts. As humans we confront obstacles and situations in our daily lives that take us to the brink of hopelessness, but God in his gentleness whispers a reminder of hope if we will just be still and hear Emmanuel speak.
I hope this season brings you joy and happiness as you spend quality time with the people that mean the most to you. Don’t forget to spread the “Good News” when given the opportunity. As christians we alone know the true meaning of Christmas, I mean it’s right there in the word : ) right.
If you happen to be far away from those you love, draw close to the one who first loved you and will always love you no matter what. Let him bring peace, joy, and love to your heart and remind you of the hope he brought to all of us on that wonderful night long long ago.
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13 KJV
